Welcome
Serena Sorensen, Behavior Interventionist
Serena Sorensen
Hello!

My name is Serena Sorensen.

This is my second year in Glenville-Emmons School District, and 15th year overall.  I am excited to announce that I am shifting from being a Special Education Teacher for the last 14 years to being a Behavior Interventionist this school year.  I will be providing social, emotional, and/or behavioral support to K-12 students in the Glenville-Emmons School District.  I hold an elementary teaching license with a pre-primary specialty (teach general education from 3 years of age up to 6th grade), K-12 E/BD and SLD special education teaching license, and a masters in Special Education with E/BD emphasis.   I have extensive experience working with students who need additional social, emotional and/or behavioral support in the school setting.

I am dedicated to help all students to be independent, responsible, and successful learners. I will be providing support in the Elementary Building on Tuesdays and Thursdays and in the High School Building on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Mondays will be split between the Elementary Building and the High School Building.

Any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.  I will do my best to return calls/emails within 1 business day.

Mrs. Serena Sorensen
